Director of the Government's Office for Kosovo and Metohija Marko Đurić said today that it is unacceptable to Serbia that Kosovo be admitted to Interpol.

"It's bad to take under consideration Kosovo's bid for Interpol membership independently from Serbia," Đurić told the Radio Television of Serbia (RTS).

He said that this is unacceptable given the fact that some politicians from Kosovo and Metohija are on the Interpol's wanted list.

Kosovo's Interior Minister Skender Hyseni told the Kosovo media a few days ago that the Government of Kosovo had applied for full membership in Interpol and that he expected a positive response.

The Office of Public Affairs of Interpol stated then that the formal request would be considered at the 84th session of the INTERPOL General Assembly to be held in Rwanda from 2 to 5 November 2015.
