Director of the Office for Kosovo and Metohija, Marko Đurić said today that Belgrade will not accept any revisions or amendments of the agreements made in Brussels on 25 August.
"Here in Brussels we sent a clear message to the international community and the representatives of Kosovo Albanians that we want the agreements to be implemented in full, including those parts we view as important, and that we will not accept any revisions or amendments of what the prime ministers agreed in Brussels on August 25," Đurić told the reporters in Brussels.
Responding to a press question if that then means that the decision of the so-called Kosovo Constitutional Court regarding the Community of Serbian Municipalities cannot significantly affect the agreements made, Đurić said that Belgrade did not have any negotiations with the judicial institutions, but with the political representatives.
"Any scholarly or legal debates on the issue can be taken up at the summer schools of natural law in Kopaonik, or at similar gatherings," Đurić said and added that the IC and EU have both endorsed Belgrade's endeavors and efforts to ensure implementation of those sections of agreements which are of importance for us.
Asked if the new round of the dialogue at the prime-ministerial level scheduled for January 27, would take place since the so-called Kosovo Prime Minister stated that he would not be attending, Đurić said that Belgrade is abiding by the agreements made, honoring its commitments and pledges set down in writing to the "t".
"On any matters concerning failures to abide by agreements, and regarding the nonchalant attitude towards the interests of regional security, you should talk to the other side," said Đurić, adding that the Belgrade representatives would attend and be ready to have daily talks in Brussels if it benefits the people and the regional stability.
The Director of the Serbian government's Office for Kosovo and Metohija, heading the Belgrade delegation to technical talks with Priština, said that the agenda included the establishment of the Community of Serbian Municipalities, implementation of agreements on the Community, as well as the issues of importance for the everyday life of citizens - university degrees, freedom of movement.
"We want to generate a better and quality political atmosphere ahead of the meeting of the two prime ministers," Djuric said.
Đurić said Brussels highly appreciates Serbia's unquestionable commitment to normalizing relations, implementing the agreements and establishing the Community.
"The word given by the Prime Minister Vučić that Serbia will abide by all agreements is being put to practice here and the IC and the EU have endorsed Belgrade's endeavors to also ensure implementation of those sections of agreements which are of importance for us," Đurić said.
