Miloje Zdravković, Acting Director of the Office for the Coordination of Affairs in the Process of Negotiation with the Provisional Institutions of Self-Government in Priština

Pursuant to the decision passed by the Government of the Republic of Serbia on March 11, 2021, Miloje Zdravković has been appointed Acting Director of the Office for the Coordination of Affairs in the Process of Negotiation with the Provisional Institutions of Self-Government (PISG) in Priština.

Zdravković is stepping to the position of Director of the Office for the Coordination of Affairs in the Process Negotiation with the PISG in Priština from the position of an Assistant Director in the same Office.

Prior to that, he was the Head of the Situation Center of the Military Intelligence Agency of the Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Serbia.

Zdravković’s employment with the Yugoslav/Serbian Army started in July 1995, after he graduated from the Air Force Academy of the Yugoslav Army at the Priština Airport. Before that, he had been a cadet at the military air force and anti-aircraft high school Rajlovac near Sarajevo, from which he graduated with honors in 1991. Following that, he enrolled the Air Force Academy in Zadar and completed his flight training on a trainer fighter plane G-2, as well as on the Super Galeb (Super Seagull) G-4 aircraft in Podgorica. He was promoted to the rank of Flight Lieutenant after completing flight training on the MiG-21 fighter plane at the Priština airport in 1995.

From 2003 to 2004, Zdravković attended the specialist studies program on the National and Global Security at the Faculty of Political Sciences (FPN) in Belgrade, successfully defending his thesis paper on “The Functions of Military Diplomacy with Special Reference to Information”, and acquiring the academic and professional title of a National and Global Security Specialist.

From 2008 to 2011, Zdravković took master’s studies on national and global security. After defending his master’s thesis on “The Legal and Political Consequences of Independence of Kosovo and Metohija for the Peace and Security of Southeast Europe”, he acquired the title of a Master of International Relations. The academic panel of the FPN in Belgrade approved his doctoral dissertation on the “Theory of Democratic Peace and the Serbian-Albanian Relations.”

He also completed a number of different courses in the field of defense and security which took place in country and abroad, was a participant in several conferences and round tables held within the Internal Dialogue on Kosovo and Metohija, a member of working groups of the Commission on Missing Persons in Kosovo and Metohija, and of the War Crimes Investigation in Kosovo and Metohija. He also participated in several seminars and round tables on political and security situation, and combating extremism, organized crime and terrorism held in the region.

He represented the Army of Serbia and the Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Serbia in Romania as the Defense Envoy at the Embassy of the Republic of Serbia in Bucharest from 2014 to 2017, for which he was awarded a medal from the Romanian Land Forces and commended for his merits by the Director of the Serbian Military Intelligence Agency of the Ministry of Defense.

In Hamburg, Germany, Zdravković took a course in German language and completed a chief of staff training at the Senior Military Academy of the German Armed Forces from 2018 to 2020.

Zdravković’s employment status began at Priština Airport on July 29, 1995, at a regular job of a pilot of the MiG-21 fighter plane. He progressed along all the career ladders, advancing through the Serbian Army and the Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Serbia.

Zdravković won numerous commendations and awards. He is fluent in English and German, and has Italian, Romanian and Albanian language skills. Zdravković published a multitude of articles on the topic of Kosovo and Metohija in the Military Gazette from 2006 to 2014.

Miloje Zdravkovic was born in Kosovska Mitrovica in 1973.

He is married and the father of two children.
