Serbia is surprised by such a decision of the Provisional institutions of self-government in Priština and it is clear to us that whatever the political representatives of Kosovo and Metohija’s Albanians in recent months did to raise tensions was only a search for excuses to suspend the normalization of relations and dialogue with the Serbs and Belgrade.
We remain committed to the talks as a way of addressing disputes and harmonizing the interests with the political representatives of the Albanians, but after the public declaration of the Provincial Assembly calling for suspension of the dialogue, as well as utterly wrong and illegal attempt to establish the so-called Kosovo army, we find it painfully clear that not all stakeholders in the dialogue are truly committed to peace and stability.
